How to do camel pose :- first of all kneel on the yoga mat and place your hands on the hips. Your knees should be in line with the shoulders and the sole of your feet should be facing the ceiling. As you in hill draw in your tailbone towards the pubis as if being pulled from the navel. Simultaneous arch your back and slide your palm over your feet till the arms are straight. Do not strain your neck but keep it in neutral position. Stay in this posture for a couple of breaths. Breath out and slowly come back to the initial pose with your hands and bring them back to your hips as you straighten up.
Benefits:- it improves digestion. it stretches and open the front of the body. it also straightens the back and shoulders. it relieves the body of lower back ache. it improves flexibility of the spine and also improves posture. it helps overcome menstrual discomfort.
Well, beginners can place a question below their knees to is their way into this pose.
One of the most common problem in camel pose is keeping the thighs upright. as you take the chest back, you want to make sure that your thighs are not following with an ending up slanting back instead of staying fully vertical. so, to check if this is happening, take your pose over to a wall. setup with the front of your thighs on the wall. as you reach back make sure that your thighs and even your hips points stay in contact with the wall the whole time.
Interesting fact about the camel pose is this that it opens the heart Chakra which is our energy Centre for love, caring and compassion.
