The word vrikshasana comes from Sanskrit language in which vruksh means tree and Aasan means pose or posture.. generally this Aasan is done for the leg balancing.

Well, as we all know that yoga is the demand for today. the life without health and fitness is nothing now people are chasing the money but that money is used for the fitness for the health so we can include some good practices and some good habits in our daily life which can make a fine and happy.

Here I am going to tell you that how to perform this vrikshasana. 1. Stand proper. Keep proper distance between your legs. 2. Raise your arms keep the palms closer in Anjali mudra. Inner side of the upper arm should touch the ears. Keep the eyesight on any object in front of you. 3. Raise the right leg up and place it on the left thigh similar to the leg position in ardh padmasana. 4. Breathe normally. keep the position as long as it is comfortable. 5. Release the right leg down repeat the above steps with the left leg.

Duration- initially it is not possible to keep the position for more than a couple of minutes for the purpose of meditation one can extend the duration up to 3 hours.

Vrikshasana benefits :- 1. It is just like the practice of Tapasya. it is possible to get Physics power. 2. By doing this Asan we can control and mind and achieve control over sense organs it helps to maintain celibacy and progress towards the goals of meditation. 3.
